Using Two Monitors

ProCount can drive two monitors in MS-DOS provided one is an MDA monochrome / hercules monitor and the second is a colour screen : CGA / EGA or VGA.

If you already have a colour screen, you will require:

  • either an MDA or hercules adaptor card (usually only about £15 & sometimes include an extra printer port)
  • a monochrome monitor (TTL MDA monochrome NOT a VGA mono screen; these are becoming difficult to get hold of),
  • an extension cable if you want to place it away from the computer (suitable cable available from Maplin, order code XS41U 86p/metre or PB67X £49.94/100m -AUGUST 1993)
  • 2 suitable 'D' type connectors.
